TAKING EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE GOSPEL ACTS 25-26
Sharing the Gospel can be difficult, immediate results are not guaranteed
24 After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. 25 And as he reasoned about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, “Go away for the present. When I get an opportunity I will summon you.”
And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”
There are results of taking every opportunity to share the Gospel
People will talk about it! After sharing the Gospel with Governor Festus for 2 years, when king Herod Agrippa II (the ruler of northern and eastern Palestine) and Porcius Festus (the Roman governor of Judea) are conversing, they discuss the Gospel when trying to decide what to do with Paul. This gave Paul the opportunity to share the Gospel with king Agrippa II.
“Rather they had certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive.”
Look for good examples of how to share the Gospel in every opportunity
I will pray for opportunities to share the Gospel this week. Be open to guidance of the Holy Spirit so that you can find new ways to share the Gospel in your daily life.
I will spend time thinking through creative ways to get conversations to the Gospel. Follow Paul's example and spend every moment looking for ways to tie in the Gospel to what you are doing and discussing in your life.
I will live like the Gospel is the most important thing in my life.
