Living Faith Church is one family that meets in multiple locations in the inner city of Indianapolis. We are all about Loving God, Loving People, and Living out our Faith, and we do that primarily through one-on-one Discipleship relationships, Life Groups that meet in homes during the week, and Sunday Worship services in one of our two locations.
Four years at college is nice...but we know that college students want to live for something bigger than just four years in school. The Living Faith College Ministry reaches students from IUPUI and Butler through fun events, intentional discipleship, Life Groups, authentic worship, and missional living.
At Living Faith, we LOVE our community! Through our Community Outreach team, we try to help meet the needs of the people in the neighborhood around us through intentional connection and events like block parties and Christmas present giveaways.
In the Bible, we see over and over how the people of God go out of their way to serve the people they encounter. Our First Impressions team is all about making sure that your first impression at Living Faith is a great one, and that you feel served and loved by our church family!
We believe whole heartedly that church should be the hands and feet of Jesus. One of the best ways we achieve this is by offering a Free Clinic every Saturday from 10am-2pm at our Near West location where we help take care of people's physical needs as well as their emotional and spiritual ones.
Children are a huge part of Living Faith Church! Their spiritual growth and safety are some of our top priorities. During the sermon portion of our Sunday service, our background checked and trained KidZone leaders lead kids (ages birth-5th grade) into the KidZone where they will hear an age appropriate lesson along with activities.
Worship is at the heart of who we are as a church and is the way we corporately express our adoration of God. More than singing a few songs, worship is our response to the awesome God we serve and what He has done for us. We worship through music, writing, dance, art, and poetry... the point is people expressing their worship in an authentic way.
Missions are at the heart of Living Faith Church. Everyone everywhere needs to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and as Christians, it's on us to get it to them. We have two missions partners that we serve through prayer, financial help, and yearly mission trips:
We serve alongside long-term International Mission Board missionaries in and around Porto Alegre Brazil to see the Gospel pushed forward in this broken and lost area of South America.
This New York church plant reaches out to Nepali people in the Queens neighborhood of New York. Many of these people are followers of the Hindu religion and have never heard the Gospel of Jesus.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
God the Father is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. He is the standard for truth in the world and leads us with a father's heart in his attitude towards all people.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to gather all believers to live with Him eternally.
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts to encourage the church. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.
Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life with God begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot "lose" it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him in Heaven is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
