This section (v9-12) walks logically through the history of Abraham and the blessings from God that he’s received to prove that they came from righteousness through faith, and not through works or the law that Jews used to have the promise of salvation in. He was incredibly faithful to the law and the works in his life, but the reason we all know who he is, was his faith that God was always going to move. How do we do that today? How do we go through this life 100% sure that God is all powerful and He is faithful to the people that follow him? What’s the balance between verses like this and James 2:17?
