DIFFICULT SITUATIONS
GETTING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Acts 1:8
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.
We operate through the power of the Holy Spirit
God’s plan to reach the nations is through His people, but to reach the nations we must be in tune with the Spirit.
Joshua 1:7-9
7 Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. 8 “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. 9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Our courage comes from our relationship with the Lord!
How do we know when there is a possible gospel conversation coming?
Jesus was extraordinary at seeing people and their needs with the intent to take them to gospel conversations.
John 4:7

How do we transition to the gospel conversation from an everyday conversation?
Kevin Ezell (President of NAMB) –
“The single greatest obstacle to getting church members to share their faith is their inability to transition the conversation to spiritual matters.”
How do we take that ordinary conversation about everyday things and turn it into a gospel conversation?
Transitional statements work best when we listen to people and take time to hear from them or see them for what they may be walking through. Sometimes people will open up to you because they know you are a follower of Christ and we must be able to turn what they are walking through into an opportunity to share the hope of Jesus that we have.
1 Peter 3:15
always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you.
