The majority of the people that we’ll come in contact with have no hope. Actually, Romans 6 says they are currently SLAVES TO SIN.
Romans 6:16-18
16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
People currently living in the sin of death don't read that like we do. They can’t see past the death beucase they've never seen life…
Romans 6:22-23
22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So, our overwhelmingly excited group: stay overwhelmingly excited! But also, realize the weight that we have on us, and make yourself responsible for those people.
And, our overwhelming anxious group, keep understanding the weight of what we’re doing! But also, get exctied because we have the opportunity to serve thousands of those people, and share with them the Good news that:
Romans 5:8
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
